What do you get when you mix breathtaking landscapes, brutal climbs, and two determined cyclists? A weekend of sweat, endurance, and epic training miles in the heart of the Drakensberg!

Last weekend, Grant and Julian took to the mountains to push their limits ahead of their 2000+ kilometer charity ride from Warsaw to Milan.
Their mission? Conquer 150 km of Drakensberg terrain, test their endurance, and—of course—soak in the jaw-dropping scenery along the way.
The Climb Before the Cause
The Drakensberg isn’t just a pretty backdrop; it’s a beast of a training ground. With steep ascents, unpredictable weather, and roads that seem to go on forever, it was the perfect place for Grant and Julian to test their grit. Every uphill battle mirrored the long journey ahead of them in Europe—reminding them that this ride isn’t just about physical stamina, but mental strength too.
When the Mountains Test You
One thing about cycling in the Drakensberg: it doesn’t cut you any slack. Every winding pass and rugged stretch of road had them digging deep. But the payoff? Sweeping views that made every lung-burning climb worth it.
Between battling headwinds and keeping the wheels turning on long, challenging stretches, the weekend became more than just training—it was a reminder of the resilience needed for the upcoming ride. And let’s be honest, the post-ride meals tasted even better knowing they had earned every bite!

Gearing Up for the Main Event
With every pedal stroke, Grant and Julian are getting closer to their ultimate goal: raising funds for Logwood Village. Their Drakensberg ride was just one step in preparing for the massive journey ahead, proving that with determination (and maybe a few energy bars), anything is possible.
Next stop? The final stretch of training before they take on Europe. Stay tuned as they continue to push their limits, one ride at a time!
